MSP International Airport isn’t really up to par on the food and beverage options with other airports around the country (like Portland), but things are getting better, at least if you happen to be hanging out in concourse F.
We’ve been out at the airport for awhile, but now you can really get your Summit on at the brand spanking new Ike’s on Summit, located on concourse F. What you get here is that great Ike’s menu, plus eight different Summit beers! You… can even do a tasting flight if you just can’t decide. A perfect way to spend your time waiting for a flight!
The original Ike’s has Surly Bender on tap. The Copper Stein had a couple Schell’s brews on tap when they were still around. Plus there’s a Rock Bottom location in the airport. NWA flights outta MSP have Schell’s Firebrick available in cans.
While not the best selection, I think MSP is doing better then many other airports. O’Hare is much larger and only has the Berghoff Cafe which has 3 of their beers on (original, light, and a seasonal that’s out most of the time) and the Goose Island stand that only has Honker’s Ale on tap and in bottles. There are signs claiming there are two ‘Budweiser Brewhouse’ locations in O’Hare but the general information desk has never heard of them and one location is a new bathroom opening in winter 2009 and the other is a Starbucks.
