Summit will be bustin’ out a cask of Horizon Red Ale dry-hopped with Ahtanum at Grumpy’s NE. Plus, there’ll be Mexican food by Pat!
Don’t dally around getting over their either. The cask they recently brought out to Old Chicago in Eagan (yes, the south metro sticks) was gone in less than 3 hours. And they didn’t even have Mexican food to go along with it.
My comment isn’t related to Grumpy’s or Summit (though boy does that sound like a good time); the reason for my comment is…I wanted to share something:
Um, I picked up five bottles of Surly Four and two 4-packs of Surly Abrasive today.
There. Don’t want to blow the cover of my favorite sleeper Surly spot, I’ll give you a hint. It’s a stones throw from an abandoned pharmacy.
Don’t all go at once now, be nice, no fighting. From the looks of the beer cooler there is enough to go around….but it’s not cheap – about $17 after tax for either one. I think the other stores will be getting it in the next few days….YEAH NEW SURLY!

Hey now~! Eagan is only ‘the sticks’ to some of us in the Twin Cities core! That particular Old Chicago location is a solid little hot-spot of beer culture, and a Summit cask at Grumpy’s Nordeast is always a good time — last time we got half price pours towards the end of the cask (it was the Porter and was exquisite).

I’m pretty sure that you shop at the mom-n-pop retailer ’round the corner from me, as their Abrasive and Smoke facings were depleted today ; )
