Save the Nook Saturday at Groveland Tap

By now, you’ve probably heard that The Nook in St. Paul had a devastating fire on December 14th. The crew from Groveland Tap & Summit have offered to lend a hand to Nook employees to help them through the holidays. On Saturday, Dec. 18th from open to close (11am-1am), for every pint of Summit purchased, $1.50 will be donated to a find to help Nook employees. “Have a pint & help your neighbor!”

$2.50 Summit Happy Hour (and Groveland Tap has NO shortage on Summit products on draft), $2.00 wings (1/2 #, $1.50 donated back to employee fund).

What a bust. Big snow storm followed by a fire. Here’s to hoping that you are able to make a big difference in the life of this establishment.

Don’t quote me on it, but I’m fairly sure that the Longfellow and Highland Grill locations are also part of the Nook fundraiser this day.

I should have checked first – the Save the Nook events posted on Highland & Longfellow Grill FaceBook pages are actually just links to the Groveland Tap event, so the fundraiser is limited to the Tap. Sorry for the confusion. Mea culpa.

I’d be there if we didn’t have a family Christmas going on Saturday. My great aunt Mickey owned The Nook (then Mickey’s Nook) from 1967 to 1997. Very cool that Groveland is doing this. Hope they can really help some of the employees during this hard time.

  7. Thanks to everyone for “lending a hand”…you are the real superstars! Together we raised over $6500 for the employees of the NOOK. I hope it makes their holidays just a ‘little’ bit brighter….

Awesome. Glad I was able to drop in, make a donation and enjoy a couple beers.
