Slightly out of the realm of MNBeer, but still interesting… Samuel Adams has implemented a hop sharing program, allowing smaller brewers access to 20,000 pounds of hops – 10,000 pounds of East Kent Golding and 10,000 pounds of Tettnang. They’ll be selling hops from the 2007 harvest at their cost, allowing brewers to buy up to 528 pounds. Though it won’t solve peoples’ problems entirely, it certainly sounds like a nice gesture. Thanks to TH for the heads up.
