Some news from our friends over at Flat Earth Brewing Co. in St. Paul. As an aside, I was relayed a story about a fellow who was fortunate enough to brew with Jeff back in November. He’d never brewed beer before and had a new respect for the craft, and perhaps a few sore muscles from shoving around bags of grain and shoveling mash. Not surprisingly, he had a very good time.
Greetings,
We searched in vain but, we could not find the Winter Carnival medallion this year, hopefully we’ll have better luck next year.
Flat Earth is having its first ever beer dinner! We will be at the Happy Gnome on Tuesday the 5th. The price is $75 a person. We will start with a meet and greet at 6 p.m. Dinner starts at 7 p.m., a 6 course meal pairing 6 Flat Earth beers; Belgian Pale Ale, Element 115, Angry Planet, Cygnus X-1, Bermuda Triangle and Winter Warlock.
Call the Happy Gnome for more detail and tickets 651-287-2018.Winter Warlock kegs have left the building. This is a very limited run of Golden English Barley-wine. Smooth as freshly resurfaced ice with a mellow malt and hop flavor. Enjoy this 9% barley-wine slowly. Bottles should be out in a few weeks.
Winterfest is on the 8th, if you scored tickets, We’ll see you there.
The next brewery tour will be on the 16th at 1 p.m
We now have over 150 liquor stores carrying Belgian Pale Ale, Element 115 and Cygnus X-1 across the state and the number of bars and restaurants are growing every month too. Check the Bars & Liquor stores page of our web site to find the closest retailer to you. Think we should be somewhere else too, let us know.
We are happy to announce we have a new distributor. Day Distributing will be carrying our beers in the West metro, down south to Mankato and over to Hastings.
Look for Cathie on TV in Diners, Drive–ins and Dives. They filmed an episode called Burgers, Rings and Fries at our neighborhood bar the Nook.
Cheers!
Jeff & Cathie Williamson
