Thanks to City Pages for giving us our third Best of the Twin Cities award this week for “best local website.” It’s an honor. That being said, the credit came heavily in my (Ryan) direction. The truth is that the site is much, much more than my baby at this point and just wouldn’t be what it is today without our contributors.

So please raise a beer (who cares if you’re at work?) to Eric, Kat, Kris, Mag & Truthbrew… and all of the beer geeks that visit the site with a thirst for beer news in Minnesota!

And, uh, is it really time for a redesign?

Congrats to Jen! She and a guest will be joining us at Autumn Brew Review Saturday! Favorite beer: Surly Darkness. We didn’t bother with any statistics, but from a rough glance at all of the emails, it seems that those of you looking for ABR tickets are big fans of Lift Bridge Farm Girl Saison and Surly Furious. The rest of you were across the board, from Flat Earth to Summit to Brau Brothers and Lake Superior. Cheers!

So you didn’t get tickets to Autumn Brew Review… You hesitated an the event sold out. You’ve resisted the folks trying to gouge you on Craigslist… but you still want to go, drink good local beer with good people… well you may be in luck.

We’ve got two general admission tickets to Autumn Brew Review courtesy of the Minnesota Craft Brewer’s Guild. In order to have a chance to win these tickets, you’ll need to email us (ryan AT mnbeer.com) with your name, your mailing address and your favorite Minnesota-made beer (i.e. Summit Horizon Red, etc.). Failure to include everything requested will result in disqualification… and we’ll make fun of you. You’ll also need to act NOW as the cut-off is midnight in the central time zone. The winner will be notified via email and your tickets will be mailed Saturday. We’d really appreciate it if you’d only sign up if you actually need tickets. Please don’t sell these on Craigslist, either.

So follow the instructions, cross your fingers, click your heels and perhaps we’ll see you at Autumn Brew Review!
