Minnesota’s First Draft Mead Tapping at Blue Nile

Al McCarty and Brad “Beerguy” Magerkurth will be tapping the 1st official production draft offering of mead in kegs at The Blue Nile from 5-8pm, Tuesday, October 2nd November 1st.  The mead is dry hopped with Centennial and Amarillo and is the creation of Redstone Meadery in Boulder, CO and Meadmaker David Meyers.  Juniper, Black Raspberry, Apricot Nectar, Traditional and “Nectar of the Hops” dry-hopped meads will all be available to sample for free!

Auction for Obama’s Homebrew

This is just another reason why we’ve always loved Brad “the beer guy” Magerkurth. As you might recall, Brad ended up with a bottle of President Obama’s homebrew while in Iowa last month. Now Brad has put said beer up for auction. Proceeds benevig Amplatz Children’s Hospital. You can bid right here.

Hopjack Cascades Available Saturday

This Saturday, our friends from Hopjack will have fresh (wet) Cascade hops available for your sniffing (and brewing) pleasure from 9am – 2pm. They’ll run $12 for 1/2 pound or $20/lb.
