This is cool – Northern Brewer will be conducting a fresh (wet) hop buy this harvest season.

Yes, that’s right, we are bringing in fresh (wet) leaf hops that will be directly shipped via air after harvest to our retail store. This is a perfect opportunity to brew a wet hop or harvest beer if you are not currently growing hops.

We are offering Cascade, Centennial, Chinook, Citra and Simcoe by the pound.
Price is $19.99 per pound.

Midwest’s Customer Appreciation Day

Join the Midwest crew for their customer appreciation day this Saturday (July 23rd). They’ll have free hot dogs, homemade soda, and some of our their new hot sauce and mustard samples. They will also be running all grain and extract brewing demos all day long. There may also be beer.

The crew from Acadia Cafe & Northern Brewer are hooking up for a little beer engine fun featuring Surly Furious and Flying Dog Raging Bitch, both dry-hopped with Simcoe hops. Chip spends the day in Brooklyn Park hanging out at Bryon Adams’ awesome basement brewery for some beer geek gadgetry, a crazy-hopped (more than a pound for 10 gallons!)
