Brewing TV / Tallgrass Episode Party at Nomad

Come down to Nomad World Pub Friday, June 15th for the newest episode of Brewing TV featuring Tallgrass Brewing Company on the big screen and some awesome beer.

The event goes from 5-7 p.m. with the BTV episode playing at 6 p.m. Following the episode screening, Tallgrass and Brewing TV will raffle off a Deluxe Brewing Starter Kit from Northern Brewer including one of the new Tallgrass Pro Series recipe kits. Also up for grabs – four tickets to the St. Paul Summer Beer Fest (Saturday, June 16th at Minnesota State Fairgrounds).

So what’s up with the special beer? First up, an exclusive 1/6 bbl of soon-to-be LIMITED batch of Tallgrass Brewing Company’s “Wild Plum Farmhouse Ale.” Get there early! In addition, TBC is hooking up a firkin of “Critic-ALE” — Buffalo Sweat with 1 oz of Whole leaf Mt Hood, 2 oz of Cocoa Nibs from Ghana, and .5 oz of Sidama Ardi coffee beans, and primed with brown sugar.

Beermuda Triangle Saturday in St. Louis Park

We like St. Louis Park, and not just because our offices (read: my basement & laptop) are here. The Four Firkins, Midwest Homebrew Supply and Steel Toe Brewing are nice to have in town as well. Saturday from 2-6, the three are coming together to put on an event dubbed “The Beermuda Triangle,” a collaborative, multi-location beer event. The event will feature beer samples, brewing demonstrations and swag as well as raffles to win prizes like gift cards, a brew session with Jason from Steel Toe, a night on the town with Alvey and the Four Firkins crew and a kegging system from Midwest.  More importantly, the ticket price for the event goes to support STEP, the St. Louis Park Emergency Program. STEP provides essentials like food, clothing and other resources to those in need in the St. Louis Park area. They’re one of my personal charities of choice. Couple that with beer, and I think there’s not much left to consider!

Nordeast Brewers Alliance at NE Farmers Market in June

The NordeastBrewers Alliance, a homebrew club in Minneapolis,  will be demonstrating homebrewing techniques, equipment and materials while spreading the good word about brewing your own fermented beverages

They will be at the Northeast Minneapolis Farmers Market on University Ave NE & 7th Ave NE the first four Saturday’s from 9am-1pm.
