UPDATE – Please see the below post from Al with some additional information about Saturday’s event.

Surly on Kare 11

Kare 11‘s Boyd Huppert was at Surly Brewing this past Friday night during a facility tour filming footage for a story he’s working on.  Preliminary word is that this story will air on Thursday, May 14, but I imagine that is subject to change.  Keep it on your radar screen.  I tried to get my ugly mug in every shot I could.  Hi mom!  What a dolt.

Pig Happenings

The engine is running, Vanberg & DeWulf stop by, and the Pig celebrates 7 years.

Beer Lovers,

The cask conditioned beer is flowing again at The Muddy Pig. A shortage of product in the market kept our beer engine dry for a couple of weeks but things are looking good again. We are pulling pints of Surly’s Bitter Brewer but it won’t last long. Stop in soon to enjoy this incredibly easy drinking beer from our friends at Surly.

Our next event is scheduled for Tuesday, May 19 with the beers from importer Vanberg & DeWulf. We will be sampling 8 great Belgian beers from brewers Brasserie Dupont, Brasserie Castelain, Brasserie Dubuisson and Brouwerij Slaghmuylder. Seating is limited as always so plan on purchasing your tickets in advance at The Pig. The fun starts at 7pm and the cost is just $20 for the tasting, education and food by Oscar.

And it is never too early to start planning for The Muddy Pig’s 7th Birthday Bash on Saturday, June 27. Once again all draft beers will be ½ price all day long. I know it’s crazy but that’s just what we do.

Cheers,

Mark
