Flat Earth Tasting at Four Firkins

Has is been a while since you’ve had some Flat Earth brews? Do you live on the western side of the metro and getting over to the brewery isn’t the easiest of drives? Do you need a reason to enjoy some fine beer on a Monday night?

For all of your above needs and more, head on over to The Four Firkins tonight for a free sampling event brought to you by Jeff Williamson, head brewer and co-founder of Flat Earth.

Pizza and Beer

Doesn’t that combination just make you start drooling?

Starting Thursday, June 11 Punch Pizza will be offering a Surly Special – buy a pizza, get a free Bitter Brewer. I’m not sure how long the promotion will continue so don’t drag your feet on it!

The message remains the same, don’t drag your feet on this deal. The offer is only good until June 18.

One more thing, you are instructed to print out the coupon.

BrauFest 2009

From the Lucanites at Brau Bros:

It’s Official, BrauFest 2009 will take place June 5th and 6th right here in Lucan!

We will offer on-site camping right at the brewery for the weekend!  In order to keep the weekend safe and fun, we’ll have spots to park your tent or camper.  Please RSVP so that we can plan accordingly.  We look forward to having you as our guests.  We encourage homebrewers to bring their best to share on Friday night around the campfires.  Of course we’ll offer kegs and casks of Brau Beer, including the local favorite, Old 56.  Brewery tours and hopyard tours will be available.  The hops are up, the brewery pond is being dug, and barley looks great; we can’t wait to show them off!

On Saturday night, a terrific local band, Hicktown Mafia will play a free street dance about a block from the brewery.  The BrauHaus (the birthplace of Brau Beer) will be serving pints and awesome food.

We also can’t wait to show off Lucan’s newest addition.  The Lucan Locker has reopened in sweet new digs, only a stumble from the brewery.  Karen will be open Saturday with specials and samples.  I can personally attest to the quality; you can only get this kind of meat in a small town locker.  If you have a mixed couples slow pitch team, entry into the weekend’s tourney is a mighty $30.  Brau Brothers will sponsor any team that participates from over 50 miles away based on this blast.  Our local Lions Organization keeps a beer wagon (stocked with Brau Beer) next to the ball field.  This is a great event celebrating the traditions and history of small town brewing.  We look forward to seeing you here in Lucan, and we especially encourage those outside the greater Lucan metropolitan area to join us for the weekend.  If you have any questions, do not hesitate to email me or call the brewery.  As always, there will be plenty of free parking in Lucan. Take care,  Dustin Brau Brewer, CEO
