10kmembersTo celebrate Minnesota’s nationally recognized craft beer community, from May 5-11, the Minnesota Craft Brewers Guild presents 10,000 Minutes of Minnesota Craft Beer, a week packed with more than 80 member events, from Minnesota tap takeovers on the North Shore to special firkin tappings in Southern Minnesota. 

10,000 Minutes events include: tap takeovers, special releases, firkin tappings, cask tappings, block parties, beer art, and all-day happy hours. It’s the most Minnesota-specific craft beer events in one week ever. Conundrum Tapping at Rock Bottom

Rock Bottom has a new IPA to share with all you hop heads.

Pio brewed this ale with RB Minneapolis’s only original employee, day bartender AJ. It’s loaded with citrus hops, featuring Citra and backed up by Amarillo, Ahtanum and Centennial. 6.4% ABV – 72 IBUs

We’ll tap the beer and hand out free samples at 6pm. Pio will be around until 8pm to share this beer with you! (AJ will be in New Orleans, but give her some love when she returns!)

Town Hall Holiday Fire Tonight

Tonight is Minneapolis Town Hall Brewery’s annual holiday fire from 5-7pm. If you’ve never taken part, there’s no time like the present. Every year they have a fire on the patio and share complimentary mulled ale that pairs well with their special releases, including:

Grinch’s Grog – 5.8% Simcoe-heavy oatmeal pale ale

Elves’ Elixir – 9.6% Baltic Porter

Festivus – 5.8% Dark Wheat beer made with Belgian chocolate and bananas

All of these holiday beers will feature an intro price on the day of release from 5-6pm. Growlers will be available and just in time for the holidays, you can buy me a holiday growler pack… buy 3 growlers, save $1 on each or buy 6 growlers and save $2 on each!
