Pay a visit to Republic on Thursday, June 9th between 6-8pm to sample a firkin of “Lil’ Kim” from Tallgrass. “Lil’ Kim” is Tallgrass‘ IPA with peaches and dry-hopped with Cascade whole leaf hops.
Rush River will be at Brasa in St. Paul with their final firkin of Lyndale Brown Ale that was infused with Pomegranate Green Tea. Since I can’t say it any better, in their own words, “Killer beer meets killer food. Be there.”
Regarding that “killer food”, Brasa will be pairing the beer with Five Spice Pork Belly, Citrus Cabbage Salad and Chaulafan Fried Rice.
Cask ale at home!? Mike and Jake from Brewing TV take what they learned about cask-conditioning ales from Damian McConn (Summit Brewing Company) and use it to make their own cask version of a Oatmeal Stout. Join the guys as they learn the steps to a great firkinfied homebrew, get jiggy with double espresso shots, and drink the finished cask ale with some work buddies. You’ll find there’s None More Cask. Blam!
Done with Gran Old Day? Still need beer? Fabulous Ferns will be tapping 2 firkins at 5 pm right after you get kicked off Grand Ave! There will be a firkin of dry hopped New Belgium Ranger IPA and a dry hopped firkin of Summit Horizon Red! Come on down and have some post Grand Ol Day fun!
Looking for some cask action? Here it is! Brewing TV will premiere their latest episode “Brewing TV – Episode 38: None More Cask” Thursday, June 2nd at Stanley’s in Minneapolis. The episode follows the homebrewing hosts as they prepare and serve a cask version of a homebrewed oatmeal stout. During the party, which runs from 9-11 p.m., Stanley’s will tap a firkin of Summit Horizon Red and also play an encore presentation of “Brewing TV – Episode 36: Gone Firkin,” in which the BTV boys learn straight from Summit’s cask guru Damian McConn how to prepare and present cask ales. Join Brewing TV for some cask beer, a couple of fun episodes and some good times.
