Thursday Tasting at Heritage: IPA Day

This week, the gang at Heritage is cracking open IPAs in celebration of “International IPA Day.” Whether you embrace it or write it off as a bit of internet nerdery, Heritage will no doubt be cracking some good beers.

*“International #IPADay* is a grassroots movement to unite the voices of craft beer enthusiasts, bloggers, and brewers worldwide through social media. On Thursday August 4th, craft beer drinkers across the social sphere and across the globe will raise pints in a collective toast to one of craft beer’s most iconic styles: the India Pale Ale. This celebrated style represents the pinnacle of brewing innovation with its broad spectrum of diverse brands, subcategories, and regional flavor variations – making it the perfect style to galvanize craft beer’s social voice.”

The goal of #IPADay is to use social media to strengthen the voice of craft beer through the celebration of beer itself, but also through any events you can create. Well, we’re always looking for an excuse to drink IPA’s, so we’re jumping on the #IPADay bandwagon. For this weeks Thursday tasting we’ll be pouring some our favorite IPA’s of all styles (and we may have some left over for you). Our Thursday tastings run from 5-7PM.

And in that spirit, we’re gonna make this week’s Bomber of the Week the recently released Stone IPA limited edition Minnesota bottles. They’ll be 20% off all week.

Thursday Tasting at Heritage: Wheat Beers

The crew at Heritage offers to help “ease your suffering” during this warm spell with loads of wheat beer & hefeweizens for this week’s Thursday tasting. Drink up!

We know it’s hot out there, and we know you’re uncomfortable. But we have the answer…Wheat beer! For this Thursday night’s tasting, we’re gonna recommend some of our favorite Hefeweizens and Wheat Ales to help you make it through this difficult time. It’s the least we can do…and we guarantee it will ease your suffering. Our Thursday tastings run from 5-7PM.

Cask Beer Fun with Acadia Cafe & Northern Brewer

The crew from Acadia Cafe & Northern Brewer are hooking up for a little beer engine fun featuring Surly Furious and Flying Dog Raging Bitch, both dry-hopped with Simcoe hops. Buy one of said cask-conditioned ales and you’ll get a free Brewing TV pint and be entered to win great swag like homebrewing starter kits (must be present to win).

To cap things off, Northern Brewer will be doing a brewing demo using their Surly Furious pro series kit.

Yum. 5-8, Tuesday, July 19th!

Black IPA Tasting at Heritage Tonight

Thursday tasting (today) at Heritage. Black IPAs.  5-7pm.

What a bunch of difficult-to-please-never-happy bastards us craft beer drinkers are. We couldn’t settle for choosing dark beers or pale hoppy beers when we open the fridge. We had to pull a “your chocolate is in my peanut butter, your peanut butter is in my chocolate” and get our overworked brewers to give their IPA’s a sun burn. If you like the malty goodness of a dark beer, but also the bitter bite of a pale ale, then Black IPAs are for you (or maybe Dark Cascadian Ales or India Black Ales are for you). For the return of our Thursday night tastings, we’re gonna roll out some Black IPAs to try, so be here from 5-7PM this Thursday the 14th.
