8-Bit & Birch Bock Samplings at The Ale Jail

Here’s a couple of chances to sample the wares over at Ale Jail in St. Paul. First up, on Friday they will be welcoming Rob from Tallgrass Brewing Co. for the official can release of 8-Bit Pale Ale.  Rob will be here from 5-7pm pouring samples of 8-Bit as well as other Tallgrass beers.
Next, on Tuesday, March 13th, The Ale Jail will be hosting the bottle release of Alaskan Birch Bock.  Alaskan Birch Bock is made from glacier-fed water, a blend of Pacific Northwest hop varieties, premium two-row and specialty malts and birch syrup from the Alaska Birch Syrup Company and Kahiltna Birchworks. Shawn from Alaskan Brewing Co will be on hand pouring samples and talking up all things Alaskan.

Bell’s Hopslam vs. Founders Double Trouble at Hertiage

Tonight’s Thursday tasting at Heritage in Maplewood pits two IIPAs from two Michigan breweries. Tonight the Heritage crew will pour you each beer and you can pick your favorite… without actually knowing which beer you’re drinking.  Undoubtedly some folks will know which beer is which by taste alone, but others may just surprise themselves. 5-7ppm.
