Goose Island at the Village Pub

Goose Island is cranking out some pretty incredible beers these days, and what better way to try them than with some fine local cuisine?

Head over to the Village Pub in St Anthony Village on January 20th for a pretty sweet deal of a dinner. $40 gets you a four-course meal paired with:

  • Sofie, a Belgian-Style Saison (salad)
  • Matilda, a Belgian-Style Pale brewed with Brettanomyces (appetizer)
  • Honkers Ale, an English-Style Bitter (main course)
  • Bourbon County Stout 2009, an Imperial-Stout aged in bourbon barrels (dessert of course!)

Set Aside Your Bail Money – Schell’s Pub Crawl in New Ulm!

Schell’s will be celebrating its sisquicee…sesquitenn…squishytennial…it’s 150th anniversary in New Ulm this January 2nd with a Brewmaster dinner and a pub crawl.  Check out this link to a New Ulm Journal story for more details.  Dinner will be held at Lola’s Larkspur Market, starting at 6:30 (first come, first served tix!   SOLD-OUT ALREADY!!!), and the pub crawl will begin around 8 P.M. and will hit…and probably destroy, eight of New Ulm’s local establishments.  I don’t have any details on any streaking events nor if there will be riots afterwards.

The Journal story also has some future Schell’s events to make note of.

Dave, thanks for the heads-up!
