Haute Dish Beer Extravaganza

Man, lots of awesome $hit happening in the days leading up to ABR. Here’s one more you won’t want to miss. Sure, it’s tagged as a beer dinner, but this one is so much more.

Haute Dish is offering a Six Course Beer Dinner featuring the following brewery, er, reps and their beer.

Omar Ansari, owner of Surly Brewing
Larry Bell, owner of Bell’s Brewing
David Engbers, owner of Founders Brewing
Jeff Brown, owner of Boulder Beer
Tony Magee, owner of Lagunitas
Matt Long, brewmaster at Big Sky Brewing

5:30-6:30 Meet and Greet
6:45 seating

The beer list will consist of several hard-to-find beers from these breweries paired with Chef Landon Shoenfeld’s delicious food.

Summit Pairings in Grand Marais

Summit is teaming up with Chez Jude in Grand Marais to offer two food and beer pairing events.

First, on October 9th there will be a five course pairing dinner.

First Course: Chef Crafted Bison Wild Rice Bratwurst, Beer & Brown Mustard Aioli, Wood Fire Baked Beer Cracker, Wild Rice Gouda Cheese, Fig Chutney

Second Course: Mussels Steamed in Beer, Creme Fraiche, Herbs
Summit India Pale Ale

Third Course: Wood Fire Roasted Pekin Duck Breast, Arugala Salad, Honey Thyme Scented Red Ale Glace
Summit Horizon Red Ale

Intermezzo: Summit Extra Pale Ale Sorbet

Entree: Beer Braised Short Ribs of Beef, Balsamic Reduction Sauce, German Style Roasted Potato Trio, Caramelized Purple Cabbage

Brad the Beerguy’s Comman Man/Woman Beer Dinner

$30 for an entire evening, including : Lion Stout 8.8% (draft!), Lion Imperial 8.8% Lager, Cocopah Brown Ale (The only Mexican micro ale in the USA), Delirium Tremens (draft!) and Delirium Nocturnum as well as four grille Items prepared by an actual chef! Happy Gnome Merchant Du Vin Beer Dinner

Tuesday Sept 23rd The Happy Gnome is traveling to Europe, bringing back a beer dinner to explore some of the best beers imported. They will be working with Merchant du Vin, who imports Ayinger, Samuel Smith, Westmalle, Lindemans and more. They have selected a German beer, a lambic, an English stout and IPA, and a trappist so you can take a beer tour with us. The cost is $85 all inclusive.
