The beers of Ommegang and Rodenbach (Classic and Grand Cru) are now available again in Minnesota thanks to Hohensteins Dist. and Duvel USA. Both will be be available in bottles as well as on draft at your regular quality retailers. Yum.
Also, it appears that New Belgium has curiously chosen JJ Taylor / East Side Dist. (Miller) to bring in it’s 22oz bombers of Fat Tire. Doesn’t appear that any of their other labels will be here, at least in the beginning.

The Gnome’s regular Thursday cask night has Bell’s Best Brown and Surly Furious on cask tonight starting around 8pm. Yum.
They’ve also been making a strong effort to keep their web site and events up-to-date.
In years past Old Chicago has reigned as having “Best Beer Selection in a Bar” by readers choice. Not sure who those readers are, but the OC must be dethroned! Go and vote for your favorite beer bar… hard not to believe that the The Happy Gnome, The Muddy Pig, among others have a better overall selection.
Fun starts around 7:30 or 8pm tonight (3/22). They’ll be tapping a 1/2 barrel of Rogue Batch 10,000 (the Gnomes only keg of it, though they do have a case or two of bottles as well) along with their regularly scheduled cask ale night with Bell’s Best Brown and Surly Furious.
Great Waters has been pumping along for 10 years now (quite a feat for a brew pub) and they are celebrating with $2 pints all day on Wednesday, March 21st.
They have a few new seasonals now including “Flying Circus Big Hop Ale”, “Tipple and Tarrey Irish Red Ale”, and “Anniversary Uber Maibock”.
