Ryan Anderson (that's me!) is the editor & founder of MNBeer. Much has changed since the fall of 2005 and I'm proud to have been a part of it all. Sometime I'll tell you about my grand theory that links craft brewing to punk rock. Just ask.

Winterfest Ticket Info

There’s been a bit of a delay in sharing this info, as the MNBeer crew has been busy and/or lazy (depending on your politics). Regardless, here it is, straight from Mr. Berg himself:

Just wanted to let you know that we have decided to use Ticketworks for
selling tickets for Winterfest this year. Ticket price is $30, for which
you will receive access to the event at the St Paul College Club, a
commemorative glass, be treated to a wonderful appetizer buffet, and be
able to taste the wares of Minnesota Craft Brewer’s Guild members, all
while enjoying some local music.

Tickets go on sale Dec 1, 2005 at noon. Be warned, this event will sell
out quickly. We’re only selling 200 tickets this year, which is about 50
less than last year.

Winterfest

The temperatures are starting to drop, and winter will probably be here before we know it. Ice, snow, sand, salt, plows and “snow emergencies” are but a few of things we can look forward to this winter. Fortunately, there’s something we beer fans can all agree upon: Winterfest.

This year Minnesota Craft Brewer’s Guild will be holding their annual Winterfest celebration on January 14th, from 6:30-9:30PM at the St. Paul College Club. When we know more about ticket sales, we’ll let you know.

Town Hall Benefit Release

Here’s a very good excuse to head over to Minneapolis Town Hall on Wednesday… they’re releasing Petunia’s Pumpkin Ale as a benefit for a friend and former server who was diagnosed with lymphoma. They’re offering $2 pints from 5-7 ($1 of each pint goes to the benefit) and live music from Hallaballoo from 7-10. Also during that time they’re having a raffle (all proceeds go to the benefit) that includes some great prizes including: a 27 inch color tv, an iPod Nano, JUUT Salon/Spa certificates/merchandise, Vikings tickets, Wild tickets, Timberwolves tickets, theater tickets (Southern & Theater in the Round), Town Hall Pint Club Membership, “Couple Gift Package” (1 night stay Holiday Inn, $25 Gift Card from Town Hall, growler & cooler bag), *Wine Package and Gift Certicicates from Bruggers, Ruby Tuesday, Corner Bar, Marshall Fields, Lunds, Byerlys and Town Hall Brewery.

So come on down… it’s a good cause, there’s good beer involved and, uh… just come down because we said so…
