Update from Brau Bros.

Hey all, here’s the latest from the Brau Bros., sent via their e-mail updates.

Hey Everyone,

Just a quick note to update you on a few things out of Lucan…

First, Brau Bros will be featured on KSTP’s 10pm news this Sunday night. Jason Davis, from “On the Road with Jason Davis” was here to do a little story about the brewery and the town. I believe it will be re-aired Monday during the 11-12 noon news, and Tuesday during Twin Cities Live. I think we’ll see our friends at the BrauHaus on there as well.

Rainwater Oak-Aged Stout is still in the works. We are very impatiently awaiting final label approval. When we get word, we’ll ship. I’m hoping within a week’s time.

Elisha’s Olde Ale was brewed on Dec 5, and it is progressing nicely. Done as a group brew, with help from South Dakota’s very knowledgeable home brewers and some Minnesota volunteers as well, we’re anxiously waiting for this one. It’ll get a few weeks on oak and possibly get a late-winter release. I’m guessing most of this will go to SD, however I’m sure they’ll share.

Just shipped our first kegs of Cream Stout Nitro. Something new for the holidays, it layers perfectly on Sheephead. We call it a Black Sheep. Ask for it wherever you see a cool looking stout faucet.

Finally, if you’re in the area or passing through on the way to Grandmothers house over the holidays, stop in and visit us! Call or shoot me an email to set up a tour. City folk are always welcome and as always, plenty of free parking!

Take care,

Dustin

Lift Bridge Firkin of Double Hopped Crosscut Pale at Grumpy’s Today

The guys at Liftbridge, in an effort to totally destroy any productivity you were hoping for today and causing our economy to slip into a double-dip recession, have offered up the following:

FYI, we will have a cask of Double Hopped Crosscut Pale Ale at Grumpy’s downtown today starting at noon.

Have a great Friday.

Ha! Yeah, like we’re gonna want to pull ourselves away from our desks/mills/trucks/patients/johns and our responsibilities just to swill tasty beer with friends. Wait…that doesn’t sound too bad.

Drum Roll, Please!

Hot from the press of Jace Marti at August Schell (okay, it’s an e-mail, but it still has the same, breaking-news allure). The fine beer-making, beer-swillin’ folks at August Schell have announced a winner for their Anniversary Draft Series.

We would like to thank everyone who has participated in our 150th Anniversary Draft Series over the past two years! We appreciate all of the positive feedback regarding the different brews. We hope you have enjoyed them as much as we have. Online voting has closed,  the votes tallied, and the anniversary brew selected. Before we officially release the winner of the Anniversary Draft Series, we would just like to state that 2010 is going to be a very special year for the Schell’s crew, and hope that you will join us as we celebrate our 150th Anniversary. So, without further adieu the winner is…
