Lift Bridge Biscotti Release & Bake-Off

Yes, you read correctly, in addition to releasing Biscotti, Lift Bridge is also giving you the opportunity to show off your baking prowess.

To celebrate the release of one of the most culinary brews in our lineup, we are hosting a bake-off at the brewery and taproom on Saturday December 17. We will have regular hours throughout the day (tours at 1 and 3), but then keep the taproom open until 9pm. We will have 750ml bottles of Biscotti to sell direct to you during the day and evening. This will be your first chance to taste and purchase it before it hits the bars or store shelves! Biscotti was created to emulate the traditional Italian cookie baked during the holiday season and celebrates the warmth and comfort of a hot oven radiating sweet aromas of tasty treats. We encourage you to [flour] sack up, iron your apron, and arrive with your signature cookie or sweet bread delight by 6pm. Local baking gurus will be on hand to judge your efforts and award prizes (judges and prizes to be announced next week!). Special attention given to contestants that work in a beer theme, and the winning recipe will be posted on our website for all to try to replicate. Bring enough to share as there will be a “crowd favorite” category as well. There is no cost or cover charge to enter; Normal taproom prices for pints, flights, growlers, and 750ml bottles of Biscotti or Commander. Timeline: If you wish to enter the bake-off, you must bring your cookies by 6pm for registration. Awards Ceremony and grand Biscotti bottle opening at 7:30pm. We will close at 9pm.

Town Hall: Adios, Andy

Join Town Hall in saying goodbye to one of the familiar faces behind the bar with a special beer, at a special price.

Get used to not seeing Andy behind the bar…..he is moving to sunny California! I can’t decide if he wants to get away from our crazy winters or if he wants to move closer to his beautiful daughter (the latter is the case). He has happily stood behind the bar and served you beers for about 12 years…..and he will be missed!

Well- Let’s have a party and send him off right!

This coming sunday (11/27) 5pm come to the brewery and wish him well….and have a pint of Andy’s Ale. We made him a special “send-off” pale ale that is richly filled with Nelson Sauvin hops from New Zealand. Pretty cool hop that is fairly new to our market that tends to be on the tropical fruit side of flavor and aroma (tangerine fruitish), thought it would be perfect for Andy’s Ale as he is about to embark on his journey to umbrella drink land. Join us for some fun.

Oh yeah, pints of Andy’s Ale will be just $2.50 from 5-6pm on Sunday.

Have a great holiday
Mike
