Stub & Herb’s Overcome by Darkness

Surly Darkness release party heads to the U of M campus this year, complete with some new art work for the imbibers.

Save your bottles!!!

Come drink some Darkness on draft. Stub and Herb’s will be cracking the first keg at 7:PM on October 30. We are proud to host the draft kick off party. The Surly boys will be in the house. All Surly beers will be on special.

Come drink some under the largest Surly logo in town. We currently have painters hard at work on the first Surly mural in town. Thanks to Omar and the crew for putting it up for us.

We hope to see you there.

Welcome to the Blue Door

The Blue Door Pub is now open! Well, it has been for a couple weeks, but we’ve just added them to the Mn Taps list (on your right…). They boast an impressive tap list with a bunch of Minnesota-brewed options, and already have plans to expand their bottled beer selection. The three times I’ve been there, it’s been steadily busy, yet the staff was able to stay on top of it with a smile. Oh, did I mention Juicy Lucys? They got ’em….if it can fit in a burger, then you’ll find it at the Blue Door.

*Edit* How could I forget their amazing happy hour?! 3pm – 6pm and 10pm – close, $2 pints and $8 pitchers.

Because we need more opportunities to drink good beer and hang out with brewers this week….

The Muddy Pig joins the ranks of those holding special events leading up to ABR tomorrow. They welcome John Haggerty, former brewer at Minneapolis Town Hall and now brewmaster at New Holland Brewing Company to the Pig tonight at 5:00.  John will be available to answer your questions about beer, brewing, New Holland and the beer business in general.  Mark sez: “Start you weekend right with a cold New Holland beer and great conversation with one of the craft beer industry’s real talents.”
