Edina Liquors Wants You!

Edina Liquors, near 5oth and France is expanding their craft beer selection and is looking for some help! They’ve just finished a beer cooler re-org and are looking forward to bringing in more Belgian and craft brews, and this will require expanding their staff, starting with a part time clerk who will have a base of knowledge in craft beer.

Currently seeking applications for PT Liquor Store Clerks.  Must be 21 years old, be customer service oriented and have the ability to do stocking and cashiering.  Liquor retail experience preferred.  Schedule may include days, evenings; weekends and holiday hours, Monday through Saturday.  $11.12/hr.

Surly to Collaborate with 3 Floyds for Anniversary Beer

I had to check to make sure it wasn’t April 1st when I read this.

Three Floyds from Munster, IN is turning 15 this year and is teaming up with three great breweries and brewing up a batch of four legendary imperial stouts with Surly (Darkness), Mikkeller (Beer Geek Brunch), De Struise (Black Albert), and their Dark Lord and then–please sit down–all these beers will be blended to create Three Floyds XV beer for “maximum ass kickery.”

The beer will be released November 12 at the Three Floyds anniversary party in Munster. No word on availability outside of their market. Other details are available here.

Thank God my brother-in-law lives right outside of Munster.

Mid-month ABR FFF at Thomas

Ok, I guess technically it should be FTF, Fitty’s Third Friday, but it’s ABR weekend, so what the hell…

Mid-month FFF at Thomas Liquor this Friday.  In conjunction with ABR weekend, you’ll have a chance to meet Jeff Gill, founder of Tallgrass Brewing.  Jeff will be pouring the the year-round line-up from Tallgrass and perhaps some one-off growlers from the brewery.

First Friday at Thomas

This Friday is the first Friday of the month, so you know what that means….Thomas Liquors is hosting Fitty’s First Friday, when resident beer geek, er guru, Fitty opens the bar for some samples.

This week, Fitty welcomes Shaun Wolf from Duvel Mortgaat.  Shaun will be be pouring Belgian classics from Duvel, Maredsous, Chouffe and others. Do it!
