Sunner Fest at Blackbird

Saturday afternoons in August join Blackbird Cafe for traditional Cologne Style Service of Sunner Kolsch! From 2-5 you can purchase $3 glasses of Sunner Kolsch or purchase a whole tray for your table. Your beers will continue to be replenished until you signal to stop by placing your Sunner coaster over your glass, just like in Cologne. They are also putting together some inspired fare from the kitchen!

This Event Has Been Censored!

Join Lagunitas at Ginger Hop & Honey for an evening of customer appreciation! The original name of the event was originally derived from an origin so heinous that we can not reveal it’s aboriginal oregeny, sorry! Either way, they’ll have IPA, Pils & Lil’ Sumpin’ Wild upstairs from 5pm-7:30pm. Grab a pint and some Hop Wings (made with IPA) for $10. Then at 8pm head downstairs for a special tapping of an ever-so-rare keg of Waldo’s Special Ale. Also enjoy some tunes by Ben Kelly from Sexy Delicious. $5 will get you a wristband and your first beer!

Wandering Beer Dinner

Looking for something fun to do the afternoon of August 4th? Well, Northeast Minneapolis has got you covered. 4 bars are teaming up to bring you a beer dinner (lunch?) that will let you check out some of awesome food you can find in Northeast, and you can walk (or bike) between stops! Travel between the 1029, Dusty’s Bar, Grumpy’s Northeast & Elsie’s from 1pm-4pm to grab a pint and a bite at each location. Each stop will run you $10 (gratuity not included, remember to tip your servers and bartenders!) and will include a pint of beer and a food pairing. You can stop in any order, but I will tell you Elsie’s will be featuring the dessert course. Also, if you bring all 4 of your receipts to Elsie’s, you can redeem them for a free game of bowling! The menu is still having the finishing touches put in place, but here are the beers being featured at each bar:
1029 – Bell’s Two Hearted Ale, featuring Smack Shack grub
Dusty’s Bar – Fulton Sweet Child of Vine, featuring Dusty’s Dagos
Grumpy’s Northeast – Fulton Lonely Blonde, featuring a Patio Grill Out
Elsie’s – Bell’s Oberon, featuring a summery dessert
