My first impression upon walking into Excelsior Brewing was, “they need more space”. I was pleasantly rewarded with blueprints posted on the wall for future expansion plans. It was fun to see 15 or so people, day two of opening, in the brewery enjoying a delicious beer while escaping the 90-degree+ July temperatures.

At present Excelsior only has their IPA – Bridge Jumper on tap. I found it to be freshing, amber in color and slightly more malt pronounced then hop forward. I am looking forward to additional tap offerings in the future. Excelsior Brewing seems to be a great addition to the western side of the Twin Cities!
