Just a quick reminder that the 20th annual City Pages Beer Festival takes place on Saturday from 5-9pm near 10th and Hennepin, downtown Minneapolis. Beer, live music and undoubtedly some interesting people-watching. Advanced tickets are still available for $30 online at citypages.com/beerfest. Day-of tickets will be available for $35.
A portion of proceeds from the tasting will benefit the St. Paul Jaycees.
Participating breweries this year include Anheuser Busch, Artisan Beer Co., August Schell, Avery Brewing, Blue Dawg Brewing, Boston Beer, Boulevard, Capital, Clear River, Cold Spring, Crispin, Diageo/Guiness, Epic Brewing, Finnegans, Founding Fathers, Fyten, Goose Island, Gray’s Brewing, Great Divide, Heineken, House of Shandy, InBev, Killebrew Beverages, Latrobe, Lucid, Mantorville, Margaritaville, Mike’s Lemonade, Moosehead, New Belgium, Northern, Pabst, Redhook, RJM Distributing, Rush River, Shock Top, Sierra Nevada, Summit, Third Street Brewhouse, Vermont Hard Cider, and Widmer Brothers.
Anyone go? Seems all the local breweries have pulled out over the years and left it just to the distributors. I stopped going about 5 years ago. It was just a huge drunk fest that wasn’t about beer but rather how many macros you can drink to get messed up.
