Council panel approves Harriet Brewing taproom – Star Tribune.
Congrats to Harriet Brewing! Thanks to a city council panel’s approval, the brewery will be allowed to sell pints to the public in it’s taproom. According to the article, they’ll be open noon – 1am six days a week. It sounds like plans are in the works to have live music & an outdoor pation. Sounds great!
this is the start of some beautiful things for craft brewers in MN….congrats Harriet and thanks for taking the risk.
That’s a pretty long time to be open. No food? Could lead to some drunken events.
Under the new law, they would serve food as well, if they chose, correct?
I still dont get how the new law divides a brewpub and brewery. Is it just the zoning of the properties? Why cant Town Hall say they are a brewery, and start distributing(would need to stop selling booze)? I know i read it somewhere, but really am to lazy to google.
Location, license, liquor & guest beers.
Pete from Town Hall broke it down a bit in this Downtown Journal article.

They’re talking about having food catered in by neighborhood restuarants.
