The long awaited release of Surly’s Abrasive Ale (formerly known as 16 Grit) has been set for April 13th at Pracna on Main.
The date you can purchase it in cans should be coming out soon and we’ll let you know as soon as we hear.
Update: Meagan from Pracna mentioned that our readers might want to know that the best spot to park is in the St. Anthony Main ramp on 2nd Ave. SE and 2nd St. SE. Pracna will give you a validation ticket with a $5 purchase. Furious and Bender will also be on tap and Pracna will have their regular happy hour from 9-11pm ($3 for most of their micro and domestic tap beer). ~Ryan
From http://www.surlybrewing.com/beer/surly-beer-specialty-beers.html:
“Pale in color, this over-hopped, under-brewed Double IPA has almost twice the amount of hops & malt crammed in the can.”
Under-brewed? WTF? There’s certainly no lack of double IPAs on the market, so is this one brewed in your boxer or briefs, Surleybrewer?
I believe “under-brewed” refers to the fact that it is one of their specialty beers and therefore not brewed very often.
Any word on what time the beer will be released?
Nevermind, I apparently just learned to read. 7:00 p.m. it is.
Mr.Fleitty-
Under Brewed is a technical brewing term I thought YOU would understand-
here is a clue…..It involves my middle finger in your face
Cheers!

Todd-
Thanks for the feedback! 😉
I admit I can be a bit an opinionated loudmouth. And I apologize for getting off on the wrong foot here, however, a lot of what I said was meant in jest/kidding and was taken the wrong way.
I love the Surly Wet, by the way.
Hope you enjoyed the Lost Abbey.
