Go buy ’em. And while you’re at it, take a look at the list of breweries. I’ll see you there! (And we can split a cab back!) If we sponsor it, you know it’ll be good. Word.

So, I notice there still are tickets available, and VIP tix have been available as well for days now. Quite a difference from Winterfest’s 15-minute-sellout. Why do you all suppose that is? I know it’s a brand new event, but surely there’s SOME hype surrounding this day – quite an impressive brewery list… Is it a much bigger venue than ABR and Winterfest?
I’m sure there are many contributing factors. This fest is in the middle of summer when many people are on vacation. It’s the first year for this fest so people don’t know what they’re getting. ABR and Winterfest have been around for years and people know what they’re getting when they buy a ticket. Brewery list looks pretty similar to ABR. I’m sure there are lots of other reasons it hasn’t sold out in minutes. It’s nice to not have to be online the second tickets go on sale to be able to get a chance to goto an event.
Thanks Ben! Yeah it’s nice that I found out about this a couple days after the initial posting and I was able to get a ticket! Here’s hoping it becomes another staple like ABR and Winterfest!
And hey, going to the first one is always nice, when 20 years down the road, I can look back on that day with nostalgia. 🙂
I suppose the current economy may play a role too. People may not be willing to spend money on a fest they don’t know the quality of ahead of time.
For me, it comes down to having the money to attend all the events I want, and having to pick which I think are not only more important, but are not going to break my wallet. Coming from Minneapolis, I not only have to factor in the price of the ticket, but cabs there and back.
So, uh, yeah, I may end up buying tickets, but who knows. It made more sense in my head.
