I rarely get to Rock Bottom, as I rarely get to downtown Minneapolis. But next Thursday I’m hitting a show at First Ave (Neko Case if you’re interested), and it’s coincidentally RB’s Rocktoberfest release party! Plus, I’ll finally be able to try their Catcher in the Rye and Saison (if they’re not gone), two of my favorite styles of late.

They will also be tapping The Knot on Thursday the 11th at 6pm. It’s a Pilsner that Bryon and his fiance made together to celebrate their upcoming wedding. I wish them the best.

Rock Bottom consitently puts out wonderful beers. And they have for years, but they are sometimes overlooked.
Catcher in the Rye is still on for now – wonderful beer Saison is on – wonderful beer. The Knot is new – wonderful beer. Big Horn Nut Brown is always on – wonderful beer. The rest of the lineup is not so flashy but excellent for the styles. Rocktoberfest next week.
And it is so close to MacKenzie’s, it is a good idea to hit both.
