“Mile in My Socks” is a photography exhibition featuring photos taken by 13 homeless or formerly homeless individuals between the ages of 16-25. Hippy Feet provided each individual with a disposable camera and encouraged them to capture the world through their eyes. For each camera that was returned, participants were paid $100.

A collection of these photos will be on display at Last Monster Brewery, and available for purchase via silent auction, with 30% of proceeds going towards the photographer. The remaining proceeds will be donated to Youthlink MN and Elpis Enterprises.

The event launches a collaborative long-term partnership between Hippy Feet, YouthLink MN, CorTalent and Elpis Enterprises to provide employment opportunities for homeless youth.

Price includes admission to the event, a pair of Hippy Feet Socks, one beer courtesy of Lake Monster Brewery and food provided by Big Guys BBQ Roadhouse and a chance to win signed Minnesota Wild gear. VIP ticketholders will also receive a free T-shirt.

All sales benefit YouthLink and the Elpis Foundation. A portion of every ticket purchased is tax deductible.
