Fitger’s Beer Release

New beers from Fitger’s Brewhouse this week:

This weeks new beers look like this:

Amsterdam Ale 6.0%
A Belgian style pils/ale hybrid brewed with belgian strong ale yeast. This ale is almost all pilsner malt and wheat with a touch of American hops.

B.W.C.A.  (Alt)  5.5%
This German style alt beer has a nutty maltiness with a bit more carbonation and a nice flavor. We ferment this beer cooler but use ale yeast then put it into long aging. This is the first (young) release 4 months old. Not a brown ale or an amber but in the same family. Very drinkable, a perfect holiday break from the running around.

Cask
Big Boat Sout followed by EL Nino Double Hopped IPA

We will release Blitzen’s Blueberry Porter on Monday Dec 18 we will have plenty of Christmas growlers and gift packages available for last minute shopping.

Check www.brewhouse.net for the full beer and music list.

Remember our Brewmasters Dinner is New Years Eve.

Mmm. Hook me up with some Dupont.

Town Hall Beer Release: Evolution

Monday marks yet another beer release at Minneapolis Town Hall Brewery.

Hi All,
Every once in a while we have someone wonder in the brewery and say they want to be a brewer. We generally try and send them in the right direction to pursuit their goal. Well a few months ago we had a youngster come in that wanted to be a brewer. He was different, his eyes sparkled and it was apparent this guy might have the stuff. Turns out we were at a point of transition in the brewery and needed additional help, long story short we hired him. Soon he began to out grow the job of Chief Growler/Keg/Cask Cleaning Tech…he was looking for more. This kid is beginning to change into a brewer. As we sit back as enjoy watching him grow as a brewer we also need to celebrate his graduation from the U of M that will happen in about two weeks.
So we offer “Evolution” a graduation style ale this coming Monday 5-6pm just $2 per pint. This fine ale is an amber that became a pale that almost became and ipa….some may call it a “North Shore Pale Ale”
Congrats Adam!
Cheers
Mike

Great Waters Update

Great Waters will have some new beers this week, as well as some new toys. Read on friends:

STINGO:
This is a wheat ale. I used crystallized ginger and lemon grass to give this brew a unique flavor. Unfiltered and lightly hopped to allow the spice profile to come through. Medium bodied, deep golden color, and hazy.

YULETIDE ABBEY ALE:
This is a seasonal brew using a strain of trappist ale yeast. There are only 6 Trappist order breweries left in  the world. The flavor in this abbey ale has hints of raisin, caramelized sugar, and star anise. Dark and full bodied. Little hop profile. More malt, toffee and plum/raisin aromas.

NEW FERMENTERS ARE HERE !
We’re beginning our expansion. I hope to see the first beers from the new fermenters before Christmas. It is very exciting to be able to offer all our regular beers along with more specialty beers. Stay tuned for a new release party.
