Muddy Pig Update: Summit Great Northern Porter Cask Event

Here’s some news from Mark at The Muddy Pig:

Beer Lovers,

I’m sure many of you at one time or another have turned to your buddy and said “I really wish I could get a cask conditioned Summit Porter”.  Well now you can.  Stop by The Muddy Pig at 6:00 this Friday, March 2 when we will be tapping a firkin of what some would say is Summit’s best beer.  There are only about 75 pints in a firkin so it won’t last long.  We do have a second firkin which we plan to tap Saturday evening assuming ya’ll don’t suck it up Friday night.

And there is a new brewery in town, Flat Earth Brewing Co.  Their first beer is a Belgian pale ale which will be tapped as soon as we have an open line.  Friday???

Stop shoveling and get down to The Muddy Pig Friday night.  See you there!

Flat Earth to be on-tap Thursday at The Happy Gnome.

Per Brad Magerkurth of Chisago Lakes Distributing and Jeff Williamson of Flat Earth, this Thursday starting roughly at 6pm there will be a keg of Flat Earth Belgian Pale Ale tapped at The Happy Gnome.

Brad’s e-mail:
“Jeff promises a long line of interesting, challenging, ORGANICS, Belgian Styles, as well as Domestic beers styles unrepresented by local brewers – but very much in the style of what we have come to LOVE and expect out of St. Paul : Good Cheer, enthusiasm, respect for the brewing Gods – but NO attitude.”

Jeff Williamson’s email:
“All right cats and jammers, we’ve all waited long enough, the time has finally arrived to release our beer! Flat Earth Belgian Pale Ale is ready to roll. We started filling kegs Monday night. Our official release party will be this Thursday March 1st at the Happy Gnome in Saint Paul. We’ll be tapping the keg at 6 p.m. So come down, hang out for a while and enjoy for some good beer and good times. See you there.”
