I do a lot of hand cupping to warm my glasses. Maybe it's time to invest in the 20 pairs of hand warmers for $15.

Acadia serves it up pretty damn cold (others do too). Need to give it about 15-20 minutes to warm (bar staff even were recommending it when I stopped by for Darkness). Didn't have much in the way of a smoked flavor at the release party at Brasa but I've had it a couple times since (several at Cafe Twenty-Eight) and the smoked flavor has come out a lot more.

The subtle smoke is what I like about this beer. I hate overly smokey beers, I actually dumped 1.5 bottles of Furthermores Three Feet Deep.

Schlenkerla Urbock is one of my fav. beers of all time. Ive only had the 09 Smoke at D day, and I thought it was way more smokey then last years batch. Ill have to try it on tap somewhere.

I had it on Saturday (late morning) at Acadia Cafe on the west bank. I thought that it was decent if not subdued for the usually over-the-top Surly offerings. I recently had a Schlenkerla Weizen (bottled) and was burping smoke all day! I could hardly taste the smoked malt in the Surly.
