People buying up tickets to this event to resell are lame. :)

That being said, Disappointed, I think that MOST people buying Winterfest tickets aren't buying them to turn around and make money. Those of you who do, of course, are lame.

My wife tried to get tickets the minuet they went on sale and had no luck. Was going to suprise me and a friend for christmas. I have to say after reading one of the comments on reselling them for big money is very sad. Is that the intended purpose for this event? to make money? Its too bad people see it this way.

Wow I feel pretty lucky to have grabbed two tickets. I got to the site at noon and at 12:02 it still said they were not on-sale yet, eventhough the main page of the ticket site said they were. I kept hitting refresh (IE 7 here at work) and finally the page came up.

Looking forward to it.

One caveat to Drew's comment - if you're using IE 7 or 8, make sure you click on the tab that hosts the webpage before hitting Ctrl-F5. This is done to ensure the "focus" is on the page, rather than the address bar, search box, etc... Otherwise F5 and Ctrl-F5 behave the same way.

In general, folks, using Ctrl-F5 instead of the normal F5 for refreshing is what you wish to do. It bypasses the browser cache on most modern browsers (not something you want to do normally).

I suppose the point is rather moot at this moment, however.

Well, i bought one for myself and my bf was going to buy 2 (1 for him, 1 for his dad). He just heard about this deal this morning.. guess we didn't realize just HOW quickly they sold out. I got mine at 12:01, by the time my bf logged on at 12:10, they were sold out. Now i'm stuck with a ticket and i don't know whether or not to find a ticket on craigslist (maybe Kyle can sell me one) or if i should sell my single ticket for $$$ (like Kyle is claiming to do!). hmmmmmmm...

Ron,

It's not my intention to start a huge discussion on internet technology, but I'm guessing that you were the victim of your browser cache. In some (not all) cases, your web browser saves a copy of a website for a period of time so if you navigate to it again, it loads quicker. I was experiencing the same thing for the first couple times I hit the refresh button at 12:00, but then I emptied my cache, refreshed again, and was able to get in.

Obviously, it won't help this year, but it may help the next time you're trying to get tickets to something.
