The St. Paul Summer Beer Fest is an outdoor beer festival taking place in Minnesota’s capital city on the grounds of Midway Stadium, home of the St. Paul Saints.

The beer festival will include breweries and brew pubs from Minnesota and nationwide, live music, food, silent auction for charity, and lots of fun. The venue has ample room, plenty of parking, and a historic location for enjoying beers during our great Minnesota summer.

Yeah…thats like 5 min from my crib! Now all I have to do is learn how to drink at these things without getting totally faced;)

First hint: if you don’t like it, don’t slam it, dump it. If it’s just okay, don’t feel the need to drink the beer – save it for the good stuff.

I blame those damn, tiny glasses…I can never gauge how much Ive drank. Maybe Ill pratice for a week or two before the event with an old ABR glass. Oh, and Ive rarely met a beer I truly didnt like…Carling Black Label springs to mind though.

Is there any more info for this event? Is all the beer free once you get in. What is so good about being VIP?

That is so awesome. Winterfest first, though, beer fans.

Duke – You might want to get yourself some new panties or we can just decide to NOT go drinking afterwards. That seems to usually add the cherry on top.

    I call the couch!

If your a VIP it means you get one hour with only 50 other people and you get a more personal experience from the brewery reps, more time to ask questions ya know!
Plus an extra hour of drinking those delicious beers!
CHECK OUT THE WEBSITE, still basic, but more to come soon.

John> First thing I noticed too. Guess people that have to work a normal job will just have to exercise some self control.

Rochester, NY has an event at their ballpark. It is well attended because it seems that the brewers bring their more public accessible stuff. http://www.fcbrewfest.com

I will be there hosting a table for any interested UC Davis Alumni who live in the MSP area and are attending the event. Look for the Aggie Banner and come by and say hi. We can raise a (few) glasses and compare beer notes and talk about the good old days back at Davis remember Sudwerk Brewery. Look for a UCD in MSP site coming soon to promote this cool Summer Beer Fest and other social events to come!

    three questions:
1st: They say there is music. What is the line up? Does anyone know who is playing.
2nd: If you buy VIP, do you stay later or come earlier?
3rd: can you drink as much as you want, or is there just a set amount of tickets you are given.
    Anyone know?
