Great Waters Brewing Company Current Tap Offerings

Shortly after stopping in for a beer at Great Waters this afternoon, Bob tapped the Cask Conditioned Oak Aged Brown. With a nice vanilla and toasted malt nose the brown starts off smooth, moves into a drying dark chocolate middle and finishes with basswood honey. A drinkable beer of fine quality.

Cask Conditioned Beers

  • Great Waters House Ale
  • Oak Aged Brown Ale
  • Mr. Smooth Dark Mild
  • Colonel Flashman’s IPA

Pushed Beers

  • Golden Prairie Blonde
  • St. Peter Pale Ale
  • Brown Trout Brown Ale
  • Solstice Stout
  • Betelgeuse

If only they updated their website from time to time. I might actually go there more often, If I new what was on tap!

From what I was told, Great Waters is working on making changes to their website so the beer list will be, up-to-date and current.

That would be nice, considering that all the other brewpubs in the cities do a great job of keeping their website lists up to date!

It comes down to the question: Is there value in maintaining an online list of current (and future) taps?

I’ve gone to Town Hall Brewery because a specific beer was listed as being on tap. However, 95% of the time, I go to Town Hall Brewery without knowing or caring what is on tap. If Great Waters did a better job of maintaining their online beer list, I might go there a little more often but the majority of my trips to Great Waters are influenced by other factors.

Yes, there is value in maintaining an online list of current (and future) taps. Sure, I will stop by Great Waters from time to time, only to realize that I missed something that sounded really great. That irritates me. I really like Great Waters, but I think they could do a better job of promoting themselves.
