Whoops. Guess she didn’t make it up to Barley John’s.

Been there many times. Colin was one of my most cooperative interviewees, second only to Ryan.

So you’ve been to Barley John’s but they don’t get a mention?

I’ve been to most of the brewpubs and breweries in MN and eastern WI but, unfortunately, certain factors (mostly time and space) don’t allow for inclusion of all of them in one written feature. I made sure to direct our readers to the best resources (particularly this site) so they can continue to explore the world of local beer. So try not to think of it as excluding anyone, rather highlighting some and providing guiding information for the others. There’s also a lot more user-created content on the vita.mn site, to which everyone is welcome to contribute.

Wow people. Do you realize how rare it is for *any* Minnesota brewery to get a mention in the media? We finally get mentioned, not only many breweries, but the Guild, and this is the reaction? Every time any brewery in our state gets recognized, we need to view it as a positive thing.

Well, I’m going to say “Good job, Alexis” and I will personally try not to think of my bar being excluded, either, but that some of the information provided will guide others there.
Lots of great beer info coming out of the Strib, much more than in years past.

Dennis Brothers in Cottage Grove is now one of the cities top places to buy beer.
