Updated Pre-ABR happenings from Stub & Herb’s
I wanted to get you some more details on our event on Thursday Sept. 25. We will have a number of guests and feature some pretty special drafts that night. Here is the lineup so far…
Big Sky will feature their Triple and Strong Cherry Ale both on draft.
Schmaltz Brewing will feature their Coney Island Freaktoberfest drafts. Jeremy from Schmaltz will be stopping by.
New Holland will feature Mad Hatter IPA drafts. John Haggerty Brewer from New Holland will be stopping by. He will hopefully be fresh hopping Mad Hatter for us.
Boulder Brewing will feature Cold Hop Drafts. Brewery reps will be on hand to answer any questions.
From Two Brothers Brewing we will feature Domaine Dupage and Cain & Ebel on draft. Christian from Two Brothers will be around to answer any questions you have.
The Guys from Furthermore will also be present. We currently are pouring Furthermore Proper on draft.
Last, Left Hand Brewing will feature Left Hand Oktoberfest drafts and will also have brewery reps available.
I hope to see you there. Also, October’s beer tasting in with New Belgium. They are stepping up big time! Expect it to be something special. I will have more details soon.

What time will all this go down?
This is the same day as Beer Evangelist #4 at Four Firkins (8pm).
Usually starts around 7pm.
We will be there by 7pm for sure. See you guys there. Good times.
I’m going to hit this for a bit and then go see Shaft down the road at Oak Street!
I was planning on being there, but work is getting in the way. Hopefully I will get away and be able to attend later.
I am hoping a few of these will already be on tap tomorrow as I think I will swing down for lunch.
I’ll be there for sure along with a number of friends. Should be a good time.
Man I can’t wait. Great beers, a ton of brewery people and watching the twins at a campus bar? God times baby, good times.
Hrm. Being unfamiliar with past S & H events, I have a question; are these tastings? Special pricing on special pints?
I’m just trying to figure out exactly how much I’m going to end up spending if I show up. Ha!
Usually the events involve a brewer or brewery rep getting up and talking about each beer and the history of the brewery. The cost is $5 and you get several samples.
Tonight appears to be different. It looks like it’s less structured and you’ll be paying for pints. There are monthly specials going on and the normal Thursday special which is $4.50 tall taps (plus normal happy hour pricing of $3 for most pints til 6pm and then from 10pm-midnight along with 1/2 price appetizers).
Awesome event. Got to talk to a bunch of people. Jeremy from Schmaltz, Colin from Barley John’s, Bob from Great Waters, John from New Holland, Brad the Beer Guy, Corey from Hohenstein’s, and lots more. Thanks to John for putting it together.
