Here’s another sneak peek at The Four Firkins, set to open their doors this Saturday in St. Louis Park. The store has beer, the website is up and the Grand Opening is set for June 14th.

Just got back from the store. It’s pretty cool. It’s really small, but had a nice selection. Quite a few things I haven’t seen at other stores in the cities before. Alvey was very helpful with recommendations. It’s a little out of the way for me to drive out from south Minneapolis though. I will do it when I want help finding something new. I think I want to make a trip out on bicycle sometime as well.
Stopped by after grabbing some Surly Two. Nice selection with plenty of hard to find goodies. Wish I lived closer. Hope they do well.
It was a little offputting that there were no prices on anything.
James - Alvey told Dawn that pricing was on his to-do list - it’s not a permanent thing.
As far as the location goes, a lot of the better beer stores in the Twin Cities are destination trips - be it Cellars, Blue Max, Dennis Brothers or others, Of course I’m just spoiled because I live a little more than a mile away.
Nice little shop. Happy to say I was the first customer there on Saturday morning and made the store’s very first purchase. I’ve never done that before. Good Luck, Alvey - you’re living a lot of beer lover’s dream!!!
Erik - good to meet you Sat. I thought you looked familiar, but I didn’t realize why until a few minutes after you left. I guess we weren’t used to seeing you without a green screen behind you.
Great place, and very close to my home, which is even better. Alvey was very helpful in answering my questions, and making his recommendations on a number of beers I’d never heard of. I’ll certainly be back!

Was in there on Sat. What a great little shop! Friendly people, great selection. I hope they do good business. We gotta get the word out!
